There is no doubt that the weather in Los Angeles (or all of Cali for that matter) has been particularly strange and terrible thanks to El Nino. I mean in the past two days, I have endured torrential downpours in LA and temperatures dipping in the 50s - weather that's quite common for my hometown in Massachusetts but definitely not here. I have for sure had to adjust my outfit choices in response to El Nino. A light jacket and sneakers like I wore all of last year just won't cut it this time around. Nope. Instead, I've been forced to invest in some heavier pieces for this cooler and wetter climate. (I am currently bundled in a knit scarf and wool socks with boots.)
Being from Boston, I'm overly familiar with brisk, wet weather. So, I thought I'd put together a little outfit guide for those who are not so used to it and need a little guidance. I've included pieces (like the long pink coat from Romwe.com) that are fashionable but will keep you warm on a chilly winter day in LA.
